Octagon Africa Financial Services has opened an office in Mombasa as it seeks to tap demand for retirement planning, employee benefits and wealth management among coastal businesses and workers.
The office, located on the ninth floor of Epic Business Centre, is expected to bring the company’s financial services closer to employers, individuals and small businesses across the region.
Octagon Africa Group Chief Executive Fred Waswa says the coastal economy offered opportunities across trade, tourism, hospitality, logistics, manufacturing and professional services, with businesses increasingly needing solutions to manage employee benefits and long-term financial security.
The expansion comes as employers balance operating costs with the need to strengthen staff welfare, retirement provision and business continuity.
Octagon Africa is also seeking to leverage its partnership with South African financial services group Alexforbes to broaden its employee benefits and financial services offering.
Alexforbes Chief Commercial Officer Craig Bentley says the Mombasa office is part of plans to expand the firm’s services in Africa through local partnerships.
The two companies aim to combine Octagon Africa’s local customer relationships with Alexforbes’ employee benefits and financial services expertise to develop solutions for employers and individuals.
Octagon Africa says its coastal presence would strengthen customer engagement and financial awareness, while providing businesses with support in retirement planning, insurance, investment and wealth preservation.
