Sun King has expanded its solar inverter range in Kenya to 30 kW, targeting homes, businesses, schools and healthcare facilities seeking reliable power as demand for alternatives to the national grid grows.
The new PowerHub range, unveiled in Nairobi, expands the company’s inverter portfolio ranging from 2.2 kW to 30 kW and allows multiple units to operate in parallel, increasing power capacity for larger appliances and equipment.
The systems can power homes and businesses while supporting equipment such as water pumps, washing machines, microwaves and air conditioners, with customers able to add battery storage, solar panels and inverter capacity as their energy needs grow.
“We can now serve homes, shops, businesses, schools, hospitals, and offices of virtually any size. Simply put, it is more power,” said Sun King, Product Head for Solar Inverter Systems, Atta Arome, adding that the expanded range would enable the company to serve customers from households and shops to schools, hospitals and offices.
Sun King has operated in Kenya since 2007 and says one in five Kenyans now has access to its solar solutions, supported by a nationwide network of agents.
The company said more than 330,000 of its solar products are installed across Africa each month, as it expands its pay-as-you-go model and after-sales support.
Sun King, Vice President of Marketing, Catherine Mudachi says the expansion would give more customers access to solar systems backed by installation, financing and after-sales services.
Sun King designs the technology, installs the systems, provides ongoing service, and backs every installation with a full warranty.
“Starting from Ksh 23,600 a month with a small down payment, customers can access more power straight away, with flexible payments, full warranty and nationwide installation and after-sales support,” says Sun King, Vice President, Pay As You Go for East and Southern Africa, Victor Agandi.
