President William Ruto has held a progress meeting with TikTok officials on moderation of content in Kenya.
President Ruto said Kenyan creatives deserve to make a livelihood from their ability to create good content.
He says TikTok will run a national training programme in Kenya to empower content creators through comprehensive platform knowledge, fostering increased monetization and promoting positive content.
President Ruto says the meeting at State House Nairobi was a progress review on the issues of moderation and monetization of the service.
The meeting was attended by among others Fortune Mgwili-Sibanda (Director Tiktok Africa) and ICT Principal Secretary John Tanui.
