Nairobi County Government has launched a mobile recording studio targeting upcoming artistes who face challenges in funding their artistic work.
The studio is equipped with a modern recording console, full band equipment, padded recording booth to rid it off from any external noise as well as a couch for performing artists to lounge in the midst of their recording sessions.
In addition, the studio is powered by an inbuilt generator to reduce cases of irregular electricity supply interrupting recordings.
Speaking during the launch of the mobile recording studio, Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja pledged to build at least 13 recording studios.
Sakaja says his county government will periodically be releasing the mobile recording studio’s itinerary for artists in all sub counties in Nairobi to take full advantage of the facility.
He challenged the youth to harness their talents to earn decently and empower themselves economically.
