The WWE Survivor Series Men’s WarGames clash pits the ‘OG’ Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and Sami Zayn) and CM Punk against the ‘New’ Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) and Bronson Reed, with layers of history, heritage, family and friendship making for an emotionally-charged match.
Vengeance will be the driving force for the Women’s WarGames match, with Rhea Ripley (who will team with Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, Naomi and Iyo Sky) particularly determined to get her hands on The Judgement Day’s Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, who several weeks ago have ‘The Nightmare’ a beating that put her in hospital and currently requires her to perform in a protective mask due to a fractured facial bone.
This is among matches lined up at the WWE Universe’s most anticipated events, Survivor Series: WarGames, which is set to be held at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, on Sunday 1 December 2024 – with all the action live and exclusive on DStv!
This will be the 38th annual Survivor Series event, and the third featuring WarGames matches. This type of match usually involves two teams of four or more wrestlers locked inside a steel cage that encompasses two rings placed side by side.
Also keep an eye out for ‘Ms Money in the Bank’ Tiffany Stratton, who has the two Women’s Champions (Morgan, Women’s World Champion, and Nia Jax, WWE Women’s Champion) on her team, but could be tempted to cash in her title shot at any time.
The card also features a rematch between Gunther and Damian Priest. ‘The Ring General’ defeated Priest at SummerSlam earlier this year to win the World Heavyweight Championship, but the former leader of The Judgement Day won a Fatal Four Way clash in early November to earn a shot at winning back the sought-after belt.
“If it wasn’t for my so-called brother betraying me, that title wouldn’t be around your waist right now. “Your unbeatable vibe started to fade. In Saudi, you got pinned by Cody Rhodes [at Crown Jewel]. At Survivor Series, I’m gonna do the same,” said Priest to Gunther, referencing the SummerSlam match in which the former was betrayed by The Judgement Day’s Finn Balor.
The card also features Cody Rhodes going to war against former friend Kevin Owen, who has recently ‘gone rogue’ and put Randy Orton in hospital. The ‘American Nightmare’ has already beaten ‘KO’ in one title fight this year, but this rematch has a whole different feel due to Owen’s unhinged attitude at the moment.
