Why you should regularly do cancer screening

Kenyans are being urged to prioritize cancer screening to reduce mortalities associated with the disease. Health, Cabinet Secretary, Susan Nakhumicha says most cancers can be treated if detected early, through screening.

Nakhumicha said the Ministry of Health has bolstered cancer treatment by improving and unveiling specialized cancer care facilities.

She made the remarks in Msambweni, Kwale County, during an event to mark World Cancer Awareness Day 2023.

Nakhumicha joined an awareness walk with Mining and Blue Economy Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya, Kwale Governor Fatuma Achani, healthcare collaborators, and the residents of Msambweni constituency.
