A bit of history…
The legend begins 82 years ago when a young Don Julio González sees a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in tequila production. He didn’t own much, but what he did possess was a dream and the singular devotion needed to bring it to life.
At the age of 17, he took out a small loan and founded the La Primavera Distillery in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.
Today, Don Julio is one of the world’s best-selling tequila brands. While the 1942 brand is famous and iconic (named after the year the founder started making tequila), other varieties in the Kenyan market include Blanco, Reposado, and Anejo.
