Why Mudavadi, Mvurya and Duale now have more cabinet duties

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya and his Environment counterpart Aden Duale have been assigned Cabinet Secretary positions in an acting capacity in the Ministries of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy; Agriculture and Livestock Development; and Investments, Trade and Industry, respectively.

The trio are expected to steer the three ministries pending the vetting and appointments of substantive ministries.

This is after President William Ruto on Thursday last week nominated former Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagweas the Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development; former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo as the Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, Cabinet Secretary and former Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui as the Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry.
