Azimio leader Raila Odinga believes the government should reduce pump prices by Kshs 50 to reflect reduced crude oil prices.
Raila says he has been following up on how fuel has been trading in the international market and has the conviction that the government has the leeway of extending the benefit of reduced fuel prices to Kenyans when new prices are announced mid this month.
Speaking in Merrueshi village in Kajiado County, Raila said it will be unfair for EPRA not to reduce the prices of petroleum products to reflect what’s happening in the world market in as far as their prices are concerned.
He said pump “prices should be reduced by Kshs 45 or even Kshs 50 to cushion Kenyans from the more pressure caused by the high cost of living.”
