Why Absa has opened a new branch in Kawangware

Absa Bank Kenya has opened its 87th branch in Kawangware, Nairobi County, targeting individuals, businesses, and the wider community convenient and accessible banking solutions..

The new branch that is located at Kawangware’s Soko Safi Mall, the branch features a full-service banking hall, a 24/7 ATM and cash deposit machine, and is complemented by an agency banking network, and mobile banking to reach customers where they live and work.

Absa Bank Kenya, CEO, Abdi Mohamed, said: “Kawangware is a strategic gateway into Nairobi home to hardworking individuals, small businesses, and families who embody the spirit of enterprise. This branch represents our promise to walk with this community, offering not just banking services, but the knowledge, and partnerships that help people thrive.”

As part of the launch, the Bank also flagged off a caravan, an initiative aimed at empowering enterprises and individuals in Kawangware and surrounding areas, including Dagoretti, Kikuyu, and others, with financial knowledge, relevant solutions, and tools that meet their current needs. This forms part of a nationwide drive by Absa to engage Kenyans directly and support their business and personal aspirations.
