DStv subscribers in Kenya have protested a decision by MultiChoice to hike subscription rates.
Subscribers took to social media platform to express their displeasure at the decision, wondering what informed the latest decision to hike rates after the shilling had strengthened about 20% to the dollar.
In the last DStv subscription hike that was effected in April 2024, MultiChoice Kenya said the decision had been informed by a weak shilling and “a review of the economic outlook”.
In a notice to subscribers, MultiChoice Kenya, Managing Director, Nzola Miranda, said: “We would like to inform you that MultiChoice will be making adjustments to some of its DStv subscription prices effective 1st November 2024.”
