Social Health Authority (SHA) Acting CEO Elijah Wachira has been suspended pending investigations into the agency’s affairs.
Among issues that SHA has grappled with include the transition from the National Health Insurance fund (NHIF) to SHA as well as settlement of pending bills owed to hospitals [under the defunct NHIF] and to the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA).
The decision has been announced by the Board of Directors of SHA who has replaced Wachira with Robert Ingasira.
