Shalina Healthcare entered into the Kenyan market in 2018 through the acquisition of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company (PMC). This move enabled the company to introduce global brands in key therapeutic areas, including dermatology and pain management.

The subsequent acquisition of Orange Pharma Limited in 2022 elevated Shalina Healthcare into the top 5 pharmaceutical companies in Kenya, enhancing its capability to meet the diverse healthcare needs of Kenyans.

Today’s launch also celebrates the acquisition of beloved household names Kaluma, Sonamoja, and Sonadol, further cementing Shalina’s commitment to accessible, high-quality healthcare. From its headquarters at Shalina House in Babadogo, Thika Road, the company’s Kenyan operations now employ over 200 individuals, supporting a nationwide sales and marketing network.
