Kericho is receiving a windfall of national government financed infrastructural projects ahead of Mashujaa Day celebrations to be held at the Kericho Green Stadium.

Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen on Saturday launched the upgrade of key roads in Kericho.
An elated Murkomen said: “As part of my development tour of Kericho County, I have this afternoon launched the upgrading to bitumen standards of 10km Kericho Town Roads in preparation for the Mashujaa Day celebrations to be held at the Kericho Green Stadium on 20th October 2023.”
The roads are expected to easy transport in the area and enable farmers ferry their produce to markets with ease.
“Once complete, the roads will improve access to the stadium and other essential facilities in the County including markets and schools, and help in decongesting Kericho town.
“The roads will have Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) components including walkways and a proper drainage system,” the Transport Cabinet Secretary told areas residents.
