Photos of how Machakos county industrial park is taking shape

The Machakos County Aggregated Industrial Park (CAIP) is 40 percent complete, project contractor Paul Muli has revealed.

Addressing the press at the site during an open day bringing together various investors who have expressed interest to set up shop at the facility, the contractor said the industrial park will be handed over in May next year .

The facility is part of 39 other similar projects across the country which are being implemented through a partnership program between the national and county governments.

Machakos County chief officer for Trade, Bruce Isika said Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s administration was keen on supporting industrialization agenda in order to create jobs for the young people.

The project, being implemented jointly by both levels of government each contributing Kshs 250 million is expected to create thousands of job opportunities and improve the local economy.
