The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has made changes to its leadership to replace four top officials who were appointed Cabinet Secretaries.
Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir, his Kisii counterpart Simba Arati and Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi have been named Deputy Party Leaders. They replace former Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and ex-Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya who have taken up Cabinet Secretary positions in the Ministries of Mining and Blue Economy, and Co-operative and MSMEs, respectively.
Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga takes over as ODM chairperson from Nominated MP John Mbadi who has taken up the role of National Treasury Cabinet Secretary.
In the changes, ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga’s sister Ruth Odinga has been named the Party’s Deputy Organising Secretary.
