Kenya and the United Arab Emirates have sealed a historic trade, investment and economic partnership. This follows the successful conclusion of technical negotiations for Phase 1 of the Kenya — UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

The two countries reached concurrence on the CEPA, an instrument that will deepen trade relations and enhance investment flows by improving market access for services, removing barriers to trade, enhance investor confidence, advance digital trade, strengthen cooperation between the private and public sectors, among other measures.
“This in effect creates great opportunity for increased investment in Kenya and the region,” said Investments Trade and Industry Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano.
