How Mars Wrigley Kenya has boosted digital learning at St Patrick’s High School

St Patrick’s High School, Nairobi received a major boost to its digital and academic learning following the donation of 30 laptops and renovation of the computer lab by Mars Wrigley Kenya.

The initiative is part of Mars Wrigley broader community engagement strategy aimed at bridging the digital divide and creating opportunity for students to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Mars Wrigley GM Sub-Saharan Africa, Ismael Bello said: “At Mars Wrigley, we believe in making a difference in the communities where we serve, and we recognize that access to digital tools and a conducive learning environment are essential. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, explore and develop their digital literacy and we are proud to partner with St. Patrick’s High School to create an environment where students can thrive.”

In Kenya, Mars Wrigley is investing in initiatives that provide educational resources, with an aim of expanding schooling and learning opportunities.

St. Patrick’s High School, Principal, Prisca Ochieng, said: “Your donation here today will have a lasting impact on our students. Access to technology is critical for learning, research, career preparation and so much more. Your generous support will be instrumental in our efforts to achieve full digital literacy for our students.”

The laptops will be integrated into the school’s computer lab for immediate use by the students.
