Support from the Global Fund has helped reduce malaria prevalence in Kenya from 8.2% in 2015 to 6% in 2023.
While hailing collaboration between Kenya and the Global Fund over the last 21 years, Health Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Deborah Barasa said the support has helped fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria.
Speaking during a meeting with a Global Fund delegation led by Linden Morrison, Dr. Barasa highlighted key achievements in the collaboration, including a reduction in HIV infections and an 86% TB treatment success rate.

The Global Fund has since 2003 invested US$2 billion in Kenya’s healthcare.
Morrison commended Kenya’s leadership in public health and reiterated the Global Fund’s commitment to supporting Universal Health Coverage (UHC), pandemic preparedness, and health system strengthening.
