Governor Wavinya woos investors to Machakos

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti says her Government has put in place policies to ensure the county remains the preferred destination for investment.

Speaking during the ground breaking ceremony of Great Wall Gardens Phase 6 construction project in Mavoko, the Governor challenged the national government to urgently address the high cost of fuel, saying it was scaring investors to other neighboring countries.

“If fuel prices do not come down, we’re losing business to Tanzania, Ethiopia and Uganda and as a country we can not allow that,” said Wavinya.

Erdemann Properties Managing Director, Zeyun Yang said the new project, once completed will bring the total number of units constructed by the giant company to 10,000 since its inception in 2009.

“We appreciate Machakos County for fostering environment that is conducive for business,” said Yang.
