President William Ruto has nominated for appointment Dorcas Oduor as the new Attorney General. If approved by parliament, Dorcas will become Kenya’s first female Attorney General.
In a statement, President Ruto says: “Senior Counsel Dorcas Oduor has vast legal experience spanning over thirty years of practice.”
If approved, Dorcas will take over from Justin Muturi who has been nominated as the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management.
The President has also nominated for Beatrice Moe for appointment as the Cabinet Secretary for East African Community Affairs and Regional Development.
