The Government will take stern action against those who abuse the Constitution to cause anarchy in the country.
President William Ruto has said such a plan will be brought to an end.
He noted that the Government has a constitutional responsibility to maintain law and order.
The President assured Kenyans that the government will protect lives and their property
He said even though the Opposition has a constitutional right to picket, they do not have a right to cause chaos and harm Kenyans.
“We cannot continue using the extremes of demonstrations to destroy property, businesses and cause deaths,” he said.
He explained that every resource will be mobilised to protect the lives and property of every Kenyan.
He made the remarks in Homa Bay County on Saturday during the thanksgiving of Internal Security and National Administration Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo.

The President also handed over a bus and opened a Digital Skills Laboratory at the institution.
Present were Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Cabinet Secretaries Eliud Owalo (ICT), Kindiki Kithure (Interior), Rebecca Miano (EAC), Peninah Malonza (Tourism), and Florence Bore (Labour), Principal Secretaries and MPs.
The President said the Government will serve all Kenyans equally and work with all leaders irrespective of their political affiliations.
He said the government was keen on building one united country devoid of tribalism and division.
He said the Kenya Kwanza administration will not allow any part of the country to be left behind on matter development.
He said every region will get its fair share of the national cake.
“We want to make sure that we eliminate the politics of exclusion and the profiling of parts of the country. We are going to develop this country as one,” he said.
The President said the government has put in place robust measures to address challenges facing Kenyans, citing the cost of living and employment.

“In this budget, we are deliberate about creating jobs,” he said.
He said the country is set to have a bumper harvest that will end food shortage in the country thanks to the Government’s subsidised fertiliser.
The President said the government will not allow the importation of products that can be produced locally to create opportunities for Kenyans.
President Ruto said the opposition will not derail the Government’s development agenda through protests.
“I want to promise the people of Kenya that we are marching forward with our development agenda,” he said.
Gachagua said the Kenya Kwanza administration had demonstrated its commitment to running an all-inclusive Government.
He cited the appointment of leaders to key positions in Government from regions perceived to be opposition strongholds.
Owalo asked Kenyans to give the Kenya Kwanza administration a chance to implement its development agenda.
Kithure assured Kenyans that the country’s security agencies will not allow the opposition to cause anarchy in the country.
He said the government will protect the lives and properties of Kenyans.
“There will be no violence, obstruction of businesses and destruction of property moving forward,” he said.
MPs from Nyanza who attended the event included; Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Tom Ojienda (Kisumu ), Caroli Omondi (Suba South ), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem) and Mark Nyamita (Uriri) and Phelix Odiwuor (Lang’ata) among others.
Odhiambo lauded the government under President Ruto for disbursing Constituency Development Fund (CDF) on time, a deviation from history.
“Many people will not talk about it, but this is the first time in five years,” he said.
Ojenda expressed confidence in President Ruto’s leadership and capacity to restore the country’s economy.
“We believe that you are leading this country in the right direction,” he said.
Ochanda said it was wrong for the opposition to put the country in election mode all the time.
“Why are they raising issues six months after the election?” he posed.
Nyamita said Nyanza MPs are working with the government for the betterment of their constituents.
“When we meet, many people think we are talking about politics, yet all we talk about is development,” he said.
