Airtel Money Kenya Limited has revise up its per transaction limit to Kshs 250,000 from the previous Kshs150,000 per transaction effective from 1st September 2023.
The increase in the per transaction limit comes after the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) reviewed the dailymoney transaction limits from Kshs 300,000 to Kshs 500,000.

Airtel Money Kenya Limited says transaction charges for amounts in the revised band shall remain similar to those that were previously charged in the Kshs 70,001 – Kshs 150,000 band.
With the increase of the per transaction limit, Airtel Money customers will experience convenience as they will not have to go through the hassle of breaking large transactions into multiple smaller transactions.
“The incorporation of the Kshs 150,001 – Kshs 250,000 band of transactions without any further transaction charges is part of our strive to empower our customers with flexible and personalized solutions while at the same time delivering to them exceptional value for their money. That signifies our commitment towards convenience and affordability,” said Airtel Money Kenya MD Anne Kinuthia-Otieno on the announcement of the revised per transaction limits.
She says the new band will especially benefit SMEs and individuals alike, allowing them to efficiently pay suppliers, employees and transfer money to other persons affordably.
