Absa takes SME empowerment initiative to Mt. Kenya and NE

Absa Bank Kenya has sensitised 1,000 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) drawn from the Mt. Kenya and North Eastern regions on financial solutions to enable sustained business growth and resilience.

Absa Bank Kenya held business club meetings with entrepreneurs from Isiolo, Meru, Garissa, Thika, Nyeri and Murang’a, providing them with access to information, access to sustainable finance, access to markets and access to coaching and mentorship.

The mentorship sessions focused on the economic activities in the region, including agriculture, and trade.

 “At Absa Bank Kenya we tailor solutions that enable access to financial and non-financial skills.”said Absa Bank Kenya Head of SME Erastus Muthura.

Absa Bank Kenya through its business club has previously hosted the forums in the Rift Valley, Western and Coast regions.
